Overview
Jacob represents companies and individuals in complex civil litigation in both state and federal court. His practice touches on various areas of the law, including constitutional challenges, high stakes commercial matters, administrative law, contract disputes, trust litigation, and appeals. Additionally, a substantial portion of Jacob’s practice centers on sports law. His clients range from high school athletes to major professional sports teams to national governing bodies. In 2026, Jacob was selected by Best Lawyers® as among the “Ones to Watch” in Commercial Litigation.
Prior to joining Osborn Maledon, Jacob spent two years clerking for Judge Paul J. McMurdie at the Arizona Court of Appeals and a year clerking for Judge John J. Tuchi at the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. As a clerk in both state and federal court, and at the trial and appellate levels, Jacob gained experience across a wide variety of complex legal issues. During law school, Jacob served on the Articles Committee and as a Managing Editor for the Arizona State Law Journal. He was also a member of the Sports Law and Business Association.
When Jacob is not in the office, you can often find him on the golf course. He also enjoys hiking and skiing with his wife and walking their Bernese Mountain Dog, Appa.
